The website and consulting

Consulting services are currently offered to clients based in the United States. The website itself is accessible worldwide. We do not block visitors by country.

Reading the site, joining the newsletter, sending an assessment request, using the calculator, or opening the booking page does not create a consulting contract, a quote, or an appointment. Paid work starts only when we both agree the scope and the price in a separate agreement. That agreement is not published on this site. A booking on https://meet.rosswickman.com/small-launch is scheduled with the separate scheduling service and still does not, by itself, hire us.

Accounts

Most pages need no account. Saved drafts use Amazon Cognito. You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in and for activity under that sign-in. Do not submit passwords, API keys, or someone else’s private customer data in a draft or an assessment form.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site. That includes attempting to break into it, probe it without permission, overload the forms, send malware, or use the forms to harass anyone. We may refuse or delete a submission that looks abusive or that we cannot lawfully keep.

Your information

You keep your rights in what you submit. You give us permission to store it and use it to respond, as described in the privacy policy. Do not send information you do not have the right to share.

Our information

The text, layout, and brand of this site belong to Wickman Ventures LLC d.b.a. Small Launch except where a page says a mark belongs to someone else. You may link to public pages. You may not copy the site and present it as your own service.

Small Launch is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies shown. The OpenAI logo belongs to OpenAI; all other marks belong to their respective owners. Product names are examples, not endorsements. We use services such as AWS, Tailscale and Cloudflare where they fit your needs. We aren’t affiliated with them. More is in the disclaimer.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. Pages, stories, the checklist, and the calculator are general information. They are not a promise that your app is secure, complete, or fit for a particular launch. See the disclaimer. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Wickman Ventures LLC d.b.a. Small Launch is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for decisions you make from the website alone. Nothing on this page limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. If a court finds us liable for use of the website, and the law allows a cap, that liability is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars or the amount you paid us for the website (which is zero), whichever is greater. A separate signed agreement, if there is one, controls liability for paid work.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Minnehaha County, South Dakota, are the venue for disputes about these terms or the website, whether state courts in that county or the federal court that hears cases from that county. You and we consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you are a consumer and the law of your home jurisdiction gives you non-waivable rights, those rights still apply.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The date below is when this version was last updated. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply to later use. Last updated October 31, 2026.
